This preclinical study evaluated the efficacy of topical escin gel (Resilio D) in an acute lymphedema rat tail model. Among the four concentrations tested (0.5%, 2%, 10%, 20%), the 2% escin group demonstrated the most significant improvements in:

  • Tail volume reduction (26.8%)

  • Dermal thickness decrease (p=0.034)

  • Lymphatic vessel regeneration (LYVE-1 expression, p<0.05)

The authors conclude that 2% escin may be the optimal concentration for improving acute lymphedema.

This study supports the potential of Resilio D as a non-invasive topical treatment for lymphedema.
